The Rippon Hall is pleased to welcome back the Indigo Group for an art exhibition, currently on display.
The Indigo Group is an artist led, informal and fluid collaboration of nine artists who mount group exhibitions of their work. It presents a model of a group of artists with differing practices working together to curate their own shows so that a narrative may develop between the works.
All members live in Central Otago and a variety of responses to place can be seen in their work. These can range from emotional reflection on the landscape, flora and fauna, through environmental concerns and local history to sociological considerations of place. You can download additional information about the group here, and read through recent coverage in the Otago Daily Times here and here.
Their work covers a wide range of media including ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media.
The Rippon Hall will be open for wine tastings, art viewings and conversations by appointment from Friday-Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Tastings remain free of charge and appointments can be made via our online calendar. Click here to see available times and book yourself in.
Large group (more than six people) and private tastings can be arranged and accommodated on request. Please contact our team for more information: tasting@rippon.co.nz.
